Did you make any surftrips the last couple of years, if yes which spots?

Line up sent me to Indonesia on a boat with Tara Ryan and Nat Young for a week.

I competed on the WQS for a year and a half before suffering an ankle injury. The tour took me to Japan, The Caribbean Canada, the States, Spain, Portugal and France.

Which trip did you like the most?

The boat trip was very enjoyable. Lots of great quality people and very uncrowded near perfect waves that I wont forget for a while.

Ultimate Surftrip, were would you go and who would you take:

Fully catered for, a new location with a split point break that runs both ways into two different beachies. I would take the staff at Line Up so that a good time is guaranteed.

Good quality waves with minimal people, coming home to my wife and dog, Kye. Staying in touch with family and friends. Travelling overseas to new locations.

Seeing rubbish at the beach, anywhere besides the bin. Seeing cigarete buts around the street and on the beach (especially Kirra) makes you feel pretty sick.

PNAU album, and oldy but a goody.

Worst habit:                                    Picking nose in traffic.

Would you rather be free surfer or competitive surfer?

Ah, I will say Competitive. Difficult to achieve but a great personal obstacle to overcome.

Who inspires you the most?

Mick Fanning in his focus and belief in him self. A true Australian Champion.

Worst thing about surfing

The amount of people that enjoy it. Sounds terrible to say, but it can be frustrating, especially up here.

Best thing about surfing

The feeling you get when you exit a tube. A feeling that you can never get enough of. It always makes your day and your last one in a long session is just as good as the first.

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?

Michael Jordan. His achievements and ability to lead a team were amazing. I think he would have some great advice towards competing and enjoying your sport.

If I rule the world I….?

Would try to equal things out a lot more.

Especially in regards to the financial planning and division of money.

Most embarrassing moment of your life?

Dancing at my wedding. I knew I should have been going to the lessons.

Best person that you met this year?

A local guy Jock who divides his time equally between the Gold Coast and Bali. Just a great guy who does anything to help you out when needed. Can relate to anyone. A very young spirit.
